Windsor is built for gatherings: the town green, community parks, big backyards, and a lot of families who plan a party once a year and want it to be worth the trouble. Special Lady Friend brings a full six-piece band, all its own gear, and a setlist that works for a crowd with kids in it.
A Windsor party usually has everyone from grandparents to toddlers, which is exactly why a band that plays real soul and blues beats a DJ playing singles. The songs are recognizable, the volume is controlled for the space, and the groove is what gets kids dancing in front of the stage while their parents stay close by.
May through October fills up quickly here for graduation parties, birthdays and anniversaries. If your date falls in that window, reach out early. We can hold a date with a simple agreement and take care of the details closer to the event once guest counts settle.
The full band needs a couple of standard outlets and about twelve feet of width. Outdoor afternoon sets need shade for instruments, and we bring our own covers between sets. Everything else, drum kit, amplifiers, vocal system, monitors, stays on our side of the checklist.
