Santa Rosa covers more ground than any other Sonoma County city, and the events do too: warehouse parties, restaurant nights, fundraisers, backyard birthdays in the hills. Special Lady Friend is a six-piece band that brings its own backline and a setlist that can stretch from a seated dinner to a late dance floor in the same evening.
Rather than hiring a quiet act for dinner and a louder one for the party, most Santa Rosa hosts use one band that changes shape as the night does. Our first set stays under the conversation, the second brings the two vocalists forward, and the third is where the funk and rock land. Same players, same gear, one load-in.
Company parties, association dinners, nonprofit galas and school fundraisers all need a band that is easy to work with and reliable on the clock. We confirm load-in and set times in writing, dress for the event, keep breaks short, and stay until the last guest leaves if the room wants an encore.
Some Santa Rosa properties are up long driveways with limited parking, and a few have tight turns a trailer cannot make. Send us a note about access and we will plan accordingly; the full band fits into two standard vehicles. Outdoor dates get a shaded setup for instruments and a plan for wind or evening chill.
